      Hi everyone.

I have a small(but how annoying) problem while importing files, and i hope you could help me on this!

When i import some xfrog plants (.3ds files) into sketchup, everything is great, the texture in viewport are correctly mapped.

BUT, when i try to render it, the model is here, but plain white.

I checked: Materials are loaded into sketchup materials, but not recognized by vray (nothing in the Vray material editor)...

      Any hint on this?

      thanks a lot!

I suspect that the imported 'leaves' are poorly modeled and painted on their back-face, and what you see in the model is those - later they are rendering without any material, as plain white.
View the object in SketchUp in Monochrome mode, using a Style with a distinctly colored back-face material.
Any faces showing that back-face color will render without a material - is most rendering applications.

If the 'leaf' is a repeated element then you could edit one instance, reverse the face and ensure the material is applied onto the 'front'.

You could also consider using a PNG based textured material, applied onto both faces and giving it some transparency, this might then render without the white back-faces ?

          Thanks for the quick awnser.
Well they are mapped on the right side of the plane... As they are component, i tried to map the material on each face, but it doesn't change..

UPDATE: It actually work perfectly when i restart sketchup completely, but only with the first imported files. if a import a second model, only the first one render well textured, the other is plain white.. even if it's the same model.
