I am trying to export model as pdf with colour by layer option. I am getting missing lines in pdf. I tried turning on and off the hardware acceleration but failed to get the appropriate result.

I tried again in 2017 version and was disappointed again.

What must I do to get the lines in the pdf?

This is the jpeg export of the result that I want.

Deleted the faces in the shadow outlines and it worked for me.

You have overlapping faces which is the cause of the missing lines. (Z-fighting)

Also, you have geometry on layers other than zero, this will always cause problems in SU. (always has)
Better to keep all geometry on layer zero and put groups/components on layers other than zero to control visibility or in this case color by layer.

I always thought that keeping everything on different layer is an organized way! I mean a rectangle group with its geometry on layer "green rectangle" and also the group within the same layer. I was living in a lie! Whoa! I will follow this golden rule that you've given me! Thanks a lot!

                  That's a cool maneuver!

Please provide some links of pages that will enlighten me more about this basic common sense on geometry conflict. I've been using SketchUp for more than 8 years and still sometimes feel a newbie.

I'm aware of Z-fighting of faces.

I don't know of any links. It's just experience.

Reminds me of an Indian proverb."Talking to a wise man is far better than reading thousand books."
