Texture mapping question

Hi guys!
I have a complicate question for anyone that can contribute something. I am using sketchup for this project. I must create a curved path as seen on attached file but I am not sure there is a way to bend a texture or material along the curved path. Is there another way I can recreate wood planks? Of course there is postproduction but I would like to broaden my knowledge of modeling. Thanks you in advance!

Have you looked at Fredo's ThruPaint which is part of his Fredo Tools?
Not exactly sure it will do what you want but you should look at it to see.

Dave is absolutely right - ThruPaint is the right tool.
I'd only like to add the information, that all of Fredo6´s plugins require the additional plugin "LibFredo6" to run
