How to add highlight to the text or dimension in SU
-
Hi guys, I manage my dimension in SU (since it’s easier to manage and auto modify them) so I would like to know if there is any way to add highlight to the text or dimension backgrounds so I can read it when it’s above other geometry. Thanks in advance!

No way I know off with the Dimension Tool to colour the background of the text.

A new idea for Ruby maker!

Thanks Guys, I’ll just have to added to my wish list

It would be easily done in LayOut. In fact, you could just set the dimension style so the text box is filled and even colored if you wish.

Thanks Dave, But I mostly use SU dimension since I can have them automatically displayed in my Dynamic Components (and they automatically readjust when modifying model)
Well, you have to agree that the text and dimension preference are very poor in SU, hope they will improve.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that. Historically, since the introduction of LayOut, the improvements in dimensioning as well as text and labels have all come in LayOut. SketchUp's Dimension and Text tools haven't changed at least as long as I've been using SketchUp starting with V3.
