Animator is awesome, need to get that out of the way. However it needs to be the one that replaces them all, it needs to be able to do it all IMO.
Sketchup and Animator together will replace so many 3rd party tools as SU is easy and animator is simple, together they can be a very fast and easy solution.
I occasionally use MS Physics for animation like this as example:
What I'd really like is if Animator can use the saved sequence/animation and be able to include it in the timeline, think this is possible?

Hopefully fbx or allembic will be in a future release.
Then we can send animated meshes.
