Any extensions to glitch a model?
-
Hi Guys,
Hope this is the right place to post this, not quite a newbie question! I'm doing a project that is based around recreating a glitched render in 3d objects, so a real room with glitched components to it as part of a immersive space show.
What I'm curious about is whether anyone knows of an extension that will glitch a model? Not majorly but a bit, and randomly? So for example a chair thats glitched but still recognisable as a chair (attached an example picture)
I can draw these components up but they lack the randomness of a real glitch.
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps you could define "glitch" exactly.
Jim Foltz did a Jitter plugin some years ago to randomly move vertices.. Maybe it would do the trick.

Thanks Dave, Jitter sounds like its just the ticket, can't seem to find that extension available anymore though? And thats pretty much spot on to what I mean by glitch, having vertices move slightly out of line with the next and so on....
Thanks for your help

Did you try to download it? Theres no file there.... and doesnt exist on the sketchup extensions page either

Ah, yes. My apologies. Maybe Jim will be along.

Vertex Tools and TIGs Random Select could be an option

Thanks for all your help guys, seem to be getting along nicely using a combo of the above!
