Is it possible to get rid of these "thick" edges? There doesn't seem to be an option to remove them. In the Style Builder these edges do not occur!

What are your Style settings ?
Try to switch Profiles off, or make Profiles the same thickness as the other Edges [that way curved surfaces will show an edges when viewed obliquely...

Another thing to try is turning of Use maximum texture size under Window>Preferences>OpenGL. Depending on your graphics card, Use maximum texture size can cause sketchy styles to look wider than intended.

Turning off the maximum texture size seems to fix the problem, much obliged!
