      hello everyone,

I installed Sketchup Make 2016, but i get this message when i start it :

Sketchup Make 2016 User, Pro Trial, 10 days remaining

But the Sketchup Make is free right ? So why does it give a Trial countdown ? 😕

      thnx in advance

Notice it says "Pro Trial, 10 days remaining." This means that you have 10 days left of using the Pro version as a trial before it reverts to Make.

I thought Trimble changed the revert to Make with 2016? Are you sure it will revert to Make after trial period is over? Or must the Make version not rather be downloaded and rahter installed if the intent is to use SU Make?

My understanding is it depends upon which version you download to begin with. If you download Pro, it quits altogether when the trial period expires and won't start without the license info being entered. If you install Make (as the OP seems to have done based on the message) it reverts to Make at the end of the trial period and all the pro features get locked up.

If you have a Ruby script in development, then it will [probably] work in all versions of SketchUp since v2014 [and even earlier ones, if it doesn't use later versions' methods or Ruby additions].
You can write scripts in ALL versions/pro-ness...
That is, unless it uses some Pro only methods - like the ones mimicking 'solid' tools [like 'subtract'] - or a few newer version-specific methods [like UI.select_directory() which is >= v2015]...
The API docs tell you the earliest version each method relates to, and its 'pro-ness'...
                  http://www.sketchup.com/intl/en/developer/docs/classes.php
As the author you choose what the script will do and suit...

If the plugin is pro related then it will stop working when the trial ends.
It would be easier to answer the full question.
I have this plugin, will it work after pro reverts to make?

Sorry, missed the fact you said working on rather than working with.
