Sketchucation Tools disappeared in 2016
-
Today I downloaded v3 of the Sketchucation Tools in 2016, then installed the bundle from 2015. It seems that all the extensions I had downloaded from the Store did install in 2016 and even updated automatically (hooray!). However, when I closed SketchUp and then reopened it, the Sketchucation Tools extension was no longer there. All the other extensions, by the way, were still there. Reinstalling the rbz file didn't help. The dialog box said it was successfully installed, but it still doesn't show up in the menu. Any idea what happened? BTW, I am on a Mac Pro.

There's a known glitch in v2016 M0.
New or updated Extensions you install, which should be automatically 'checked' [activated], can often arrive 'deactivated' [even when 'signed'].
Open the SketchUp > Preferences > Extensions and ensure the desired Extension is checked...
If an Extension uses a Toolbar you might also need to [re]activate that, to get things set up as you want...
Also Check that your Preferences > 'Extension [Loading] Policy' is set to be the shipped default of 'Unrestricted'.
Note that there have been reports that changing briefly to another Policy and then back again to 'Unrestricted' sometimes fixes weird loading glitches... -
Thanks! Actually, after I sent my post, I rebooted -- again -- and that seemed to take care of the problem. Go figure! But I will also check my preferences to see that other extensions I install will have a better chance of installing properly. Thanks again.
