      Hi Guys,

I have some really good models that are in vray proxy form and I want to like tweak it a bit, change materials and other things.. How do I convert it to polygons without losing materials and UV info?

      Edd

oh...i hope one day it will be possible. some components from 3dWH are in form of proxies. Thought proxies are jst compressed infos that can be decompressed. why, that's one way to protect your model from getting altered...πŸ˜„

            its so Simple.
            1.Select the proxy in model
            2. Right click & select Reload from the new window
            3. after click on reload you must have to select the original skp file of that element & click ok.
            4. Boooommmm your proxy is replaced as a original model.

@lovellmarc not sure about the SketchUp/Rhino version, but in Vray for 3dsMax there's an useful option in the proxy settings window called "extract mesh" (or something like that), which does exactly what you are asking for. Did you check if there's a similar option in the SU version?
