Push surface through hole
-
I have a block with a hole in it. I want to round the top of the block by removing material by pushing an arc drawn on the surface through the hole, but the push-push tool says that the offset is limited to the hole. Is there any way to push this curve through the hole?
I have attached the model as a demo.
Thanks,
David

You can't PushPull it.
But you can make two forms, intersect them and erase the unwanted parts...

Thanks Tig, that works. How many unwanted parts did you have to delete? I had to delete 12 surfaces and 14 lines. Does that sound right? Or is there a better/easier way to erase the unwanted parts?

You could approach this in another way.
Draw the block with the hole a bit taller than needed.
Use Push/Pull with Ctrl to push the face above the arc through to the opposite side.
Select all of the geometry, right click and choose Intersect Faces>With Selection.
Delete everything above the arc and the skin over the hole. Correct the face orientation as needed. With a properly made selection box, the deletion is a simple process.
Or maybe you should change the order of operations.
Make the rounded top before you make the hole.
Push the hole up through from below.
Use Intersect Faces to create an intersection between the sides of the extended hole and the rounded top.
Delete the extension of the hole and skin over the hole.
