[Plugin][$] Profile Builder 2
-
Dale this plugin is great, I've used the original PB for years but the ability to create my own profiles and the assembly builder really made this chain possible.
Well with the money
Thanks

Whaat is it possible to add 'triangulate all' existing profiles? or at least 'triangulate on creation' option? Zillions of unique materials is a HUGEheadache when exporting to Max.
P.S. Please check possibility of- multiple unconnected curves as single path
- faster path (ideally context ignoring single click )finding. Now it's too much clicking.

SketchUV has a triangulate feature (using right-click context menu) that should do the trick.

Of course. But if you have hundreds profiles nested here and there its hard to find each of them, enter it individually, select face, and only then triangulate.
Thats why some kind of 'triangulate on creation' is so welcomed. -
hey there,
how can one change the behaviour of a profile to be extruded smooth or not?
thanks for a hint here -

thanks for a hint hereSorry, this is not possible. Of course you can use the SketchUp soften edges tool to adjust the smoothness after doing the extrusion.
Can you describe what your use-case is for this feature?

Hi,
I'm a licensed user of Profile Builder 2...
Extension Manager inform that there's an update available, however, when I click the update button, I get the following message:
"Failed to update Profile Builder 2. Unable to read extension archive."What's going on...?!?
I can't see that I can update this extension in any other way, but why can't I update this plugin...?!?
BTW... Perhaps worth mentioning that I don't have this issue with any other plugin/extension...
-
I have a similar problem with SketchUV
-
same with PB and Artisan.. must be bought-plugins-with-multiple-email-accounts-problem again...
-
A quick fix for this problem is to, from within SketchUp, log out of your SketchUp / Trimble account and log back in.

Already tried that trick - unfortunately without any success...
Even re-started SU and also tried signing out, closing SU, restarting Windows, started SU, signed in to the Extension Manager - no luck...
I don't have any issues updating other extensions like Skatter, Skalp, SUbD, Laubwerk, 3skeng Thea4SU etc... etc...
I'm far from a novice with this, yet I can't get the update for Profile Builder 2 to work... -
@Frederik: Have you tried deleting the session.dat file here?
C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2017\SketchUp
Also log out from your browser if you are logged in there as well.I think it is embarrasing for the SketchUp Team that they can't get this to work.
The SketchUcation extension manager works soo much better IMHO. -

There wasn't any "session.dat" file...
(Before you ask... Yes, I know it's a hidden folder, but I have enabled viewing hidden files and folders and I know where to look, what to do etc. but the file wasn't there...)I know you wanted to help me, Jan, which I appreciate, but still no luck...

But why is this the only extension I have this issue with...?I have Profile Bulder 2 (2.1.5)
Can someone confirm that there's a newer version available...?!? -
I had the same as you Frederik, but the logging out and back in worked for me (phew!).
I don't know what changes were made to PB2 and Artisan with the updates, versions report as follows:
- Artisan: 1.3.0
- PB2: 2.1.7
-
Cheers, Juju!
I also have Artisan and it updated without the message, so I've got Artisan 1.3.0
But the update of PB2 certainly won't work for me... -

The Extension Manager can only be used to updated PB2 if you have purchased PB2 from the Extension Warehouse. Otherwise, you can always download the latest version of PB2 from here:
Note: Version 2.1.7 (just released) just contains a few minor bug-fixes.

Thanks, Whaat...!
Everything works fine now and I don't get the nagging window informing me that I have an outdated extension that needs to get updated...
