Render Vray 2.0
-
Hello i wanted to post this render i just created in sketchup to get some advice in order to improve and achieve more realism in the future
My question is how can i achive more realism since i feel like anyone would notice this is a render
Thanks!!

hey vporrash14,
it looks good so farI would say that the main materials that give away the rendering feeling are the cupboard wood, the fridge metal and the purplish blue plaster on the wall. All of these are way too glossy in my opinion; also, the same goes for the plant and the ceramic pot.
What's your light setup like?

The plant is a dead give away. Get a hi poly proxy and swap that out #1.
Things that achieve realism would are MODEL - LIGHT - MATERIALS - CAMERA
-
Model it as it is in real life. Corners are not sharp, they are rounded in real like, get RoundCorner plugin.
-
Light the model the way it is in real life, use IES files, dome light, etc.
-
Most photos in the real world have imperfections like noise, depth of field, and chromatic aberrations. Look into how to add these in Photoshop
-
Materials - I would look into getting the Grant Warwick series on materials if you really want to push realism. Its Max/Vray based but the overall principals are the same.
