Applying non broken texture to smooved sandbox mesh
-
I made a square of terrain using the sandbox and smoove tools. If I apply a texture to the mesh created, every little surface on the mesh will have a texture based only on that surface. I want to the material to follow, unbroken, the whole terrain object. How do I go about doing this?
Did this post make any sense by the way?

The basic method:

Great, thanks!

the basic method revisited:
-enable hidden geometry: view-->tick hidden geometry;
-apply the texture on a triangle;
-right click on the triangle-->texture-->projected;
-pick the paint bucket tool-->press alt and click on the texture in the triangle with the eyedropper;
-disable hidden geometry: view-->untick hidden geometry;
-paint the whole surface with the paint bucket. -

BTW the Tick that shows the the thread has been answered normally goes on the post that is the answer, rather than the question. That way people can click on the tick and it will take them straight to the post that contains the answer.

Sorry, I think it was my fault. Should be ok now.

No biggy, it was just that I had noticed it on a few threads lately and thought it worth pointing out.

To Massimo,
Thanks, it works perfectly all these years later. I took a while to find this approach. May I ask why it works, and/or how you discovered it?
