Ok, a few questions…
if I have the Pro 2014 version (mac) at home and another one at office, how do i move my preferences, styles, plug-ins, settings, components etc from one computer to the other?
If I upgrade to version 2015, does it overwrite the 2014 version or does it create a separate app folder for 2015?; I'd like to keep 2014 also.
If I keep the 2014 version, how do i get my styles, etc into 2015? I'll probably wait a little to start using 2015 anyway
What about my plug-ins in 2014? do they work on 2015?

Use exports of preferences for shortcuts, use sketchucation plugin installer bundle to move plugins, use common folder or usb drive to take styles/comps/materials to work.

If I keep the 2014 version, how do i get my styles, etc into 2015? Copy your styles folder over or go to Preferences and call out a common folder for both.
What about my plug-ins in 2014? do they work on 2015? Most all with a few exceptions.

The Styles[.style files], Plugins[.rb files etc], Components[.skp files], Materials[.skm files] etc are [probably] in your User's Lib folder for the app...
For example to find the path to your User's Plugins folder copy/paste+<enter> this in the Ruby Console:
Sketchup.find_support_file("Plugins")
You can have various Versions of SketchUp installed without them overlapping, so no worries there.
You can copy the various folders [in their entirety] from one version to another.
BUT be aware that a few Plugins [especially those using binaries] have been updated from v2014 to suit v2015, so it is always best to install the latest version rather that copying it from the older folder - if you do copy something and get errors, then it's a clear hint that you need to do install the newer one !
When you install v2015 it might copy your v2014 shortcuts in the 'plist' etc.
If not you can copy the 'plist' from one version to another - but be aware that any pointing at the 'Plugins' menu will break as v2015 now calls it 'Extensions' ! You can edit it with a text-editor and replace Plugins/ with Extensions/ to fix that... -
