Hello, I'm just getting things setup with 2015 x64
    [ windows 8.1 x64, cpu: intel i7-4700HQ 2.4 ghz, 8gb memory,
display adapters: intel hd 4600 + nvidia geforce gtx 860M]

I don't see the 'dashed line' when selecting with a crossing selection.
however, it does select and highlight objects.

I don't see the 'solid line' when selecting with a window selection.
however, it does select and highlight objects.

Everything appears to work with plugins, etc. (except that selection
    boxes are not visible)

    Am I missing a setting somewhere ?
Anyone else have this issue ?

All works fine with SU8 on the same machine.

    [problem solved]

    . . . thank you TIG & Box . . .

updated display driver for the 'intel hd 4600' via windows device manager.
updated driver(s) auto installed .. and reboot'ed (hard reboot)

updated display driver for the 'nvidia geforce gtx 860M' via windows device manager.
    driver(s) are up-to-date . . . no new install

OpenGl in the Preferences window was/is set to 'fast feedback' . . left untouched

Adjust the settings in OpenGl in the Preferences window. Probably fast feedback.

Selecting by fence draws a rubber-banding box for me on a similar set up in v2015.
Solid lines left-right, dotted right-left, with different outcomes of partially included geometry etc as in earlier versions...
        😕
Try alternative Preferences > OpenGL settings ?
Are you Graphics Card drivers up to date ?
