Not without a plugin, or a convoluted workflow...
If the component has a logical name then you can copy that onto the clipboard from its Entity Info.
Then edit the instance if you want the text inside the component.
Place some 3dText and paste the text string in the dialog.
Set it to be flat, no-extrusion, give it a color etc
...
OR you could use a piece of 2dText [from my 2dTools] to place some similar 'flat' text onto a surface.
The advantage of that method is the 2dText string is editable later, via the context-menu... -
