I have looked through the forum and have not been successful in finding out how to install .rb files in sketchup 2014

I have not been able to locate the "plugins" folder in 2014 in order to add plug ins manually.
One help topic pointed me to the documents and settings folder on my pc, but it seems I am not allowed to open that folder. It is my computer....I am the administrator...what the bleep..?
      update:
I found the plug in folder...I will see what happens when I add manualy...

There are a couple specific plug ins I am trying to get that don't seem to be available in the extension warehouse so I need to add them manually.

"follow me and keep" is one of them,
another is vali architects instant rail and fence which I purchased a while back and does show up in the extension warehouse, but is in rb format, not rbz.

So, can someone point me in the right direction on installing .rb files?

      windows 7 pro
alienware 17x laptop, ss drive 32gb ram

      su 2014

      Thank you

Seriously, the same question three times.
        Plugin folder is at
        C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins

Most of the active members here are browsing the forum with the active topics button, so posting the same question in different topics isn't a good idea...

            Yeah Seriously!
excuse the hell out of me for posting it the wrong place twice, deleting those posts and trying to get it in the right spot.

            I got it

Thanks, for the answer, not for the sarcasm.

Cotty, I was not responding to you with my somewhat terse reply. I was responding to Box in that his post felt a bit sarcastic.

I did not intend to post it in three spots. I thought I had posted it under the wrong area so I deleted those posts and put it in the general questions area thinking that was the best spot.

that all happened within about 2 minutes so I did not think it would show up as multiple posts.

If I over reacted to a what felt like a scolding...I apologize.

Rich, yes I am using the plug in store. I seem to have figured it all out except for my fence and railing plug-in. I will contact valiarchitects for instruction as this is a paid for plug in.

                  Thanks

If you have an old ruby (.rb) file, you can try to zip it, rename it to .rbz and install ist in the preferences under extensions. Some old scripts may be not compatible with SU2014 due to some ruby changes.

Oh well sorry If I upset you. Could you pop back when you have a minute and delete the threads that you think you have already deleted so that other people don't start replying to them too.
Just a heads up, posting in the General Discussion forum actually limits the number of people who see your question as it only visible to premium members and above. So for a wider audience unrelated to premium issues you are better off in a different section.
