      Hello,

I have drawn some entities in layout over my inserted skup model to show gas/ electric/ foul runs etc. I would now like to make the same drawing but have the scale larger, I do this by adjusting the sketchup model and scaling the entities accordingly. I group entities and model together, alls good up to now. I would now like to mask out the part of the enlarged drawing that go over the page size. I can mask inserted drawings and pictures but can not mask out the entities drawn in Layout. So my question is, Is there a way to mask out grouped entities drawn in Layout? I hope the attached will explain more.

If I understand correctly, you want to mask the red lines that extend out side of the border. When I have need to mask things that way I draw a rectangle or other shape making sure it is in front of the lines to be masked. I set the fill to white and turn off strokes so there's no edge on the shape.

Alternatively, you could just cut those lines at the border with the knife tool and erase what you don't need.

By the way, if you are going to run things out to the border like that, you might find it useful to put the border on a layer first in the list so the border is automatically over everything else. then your red lines and the masking shapes will run under the border. It's a lot easier than masking right up to but not overlapping the border.

            Thanks Dave,

I did think that would the answer. It would be nice if mask did work on grouped entities draw in Layout, perhaps next version!

Thanks again for your super quick response.
