      Hello,

please help, i have this problem for quite a while and it's taking me back in my work.

When i render indoor scenes i get noisy weird splashes on the walls (see attachment).

I tried changing material, adding texture and changing camera settings but nothing
      seemsto work.

Please if you know whats going on answer...

      Thanks ... 😄

You should mention the used renderer...

I know nothing about Vray, but check that you don't have the wall faces reversed. Some renderers can't cope with back faces.

This is to do with 'subdivs'. There are many settings in VRay which could be tweaked to improve your render. To start click on your light source and under the rollout look for 'Sampling' increase the subdivs from the default is 8. Increase this to 16 and take a test render. The higher you go the longer the render will take.

There are lots of tutorials out there on Google and YouTube that will help you with this.

try increasing the subdivs and samples in the Irradiance map, here:

                    1.jpg

the values will depend on the scene and will increase rendering time a little bit but try something like

                    HSph. subdivs to 64
                    Interp. samples to 40

i think the problem i solved.

i set HSph. subdivs to 64 and Interp. samples to 40 and everyrhing rendered ok.
i ll try more renderings and get back

HSph. subdivs to 64 / Interp. samples to 40

                        that fixed the problem...

                        thanx

                        😄
