PM solutions

I recently stumbled across some questions where the answers were announced only via PM. Is it just me or does anybody else feel not comfortable with this evolution?

There are occasions where some of the answers provided are not for public consumption.
Not that it is secrecy more that it means problems need to be trouble shot in the background.

Yes... like my recent PM to Karlheinz...
He has a startup display problem which seems to relate to the SketchUcation loader rb file [or at least what it's loading]...
So some of the ideas in the PMs involve messing around with the files that load in the SketchUcation toolset.
If these fixes work it might help us to understand some weird rare glitches, especially in older versions of SketchUp. Which could then be incorporated in the next phase of the toolset, that is under development...
We don't want to put hacky fixes into the public arena - other people might read/download etc, and then try things 'un-aided' - because then we could get into another spiral of problem solving when they get it wrong...Be assured there is nothing 'going on behind your back', that is not for your own short term well being and long term benefit.
