      There several plugins available for curve fitting in SketchUp. For a newbie, however, it is a good learning experience to do curve fitting with basic SketchUp tools. Two Sketchup tools and the Context menu can be used for curve fitting. They are discussed in the tutorial at:

        Welcome to the forum!
        I would describe the shown steps as unusual and I'm not sure that this is the way I would suggest to beginners, but maybe I'm wrong here...

          Carsten, I'm with you. Although I agree that beginners should learn to use the native tools, I don't think I would teach them this method. And for the curve shown I bet one could get a decent fit by working with the Arc and Scale tools. Of course, as with most things in SketchUp, there's more than one way to do it.

            I killed that link.

            It was just a link to a PDF which then had a further link to some Amazon item.
