      hi you all,
      i wanted to make a see thru veil material for vray sketchup. i know it's possible to have see thru effect using two sided material. my concern is how to show the texture in those veil. see ref pics.
      please help.

        Try using a V-Ray 2 Sided material. First create the veil material as a Standard Material, then Create your 2-Sided material. Add your Veil material you just made to both slots of the two sided material, and then change the color to a light grey (the color on your 2-sided material controls the transparency, white is transparent, black is opaque). This should give you the result you're looking for.

          i figured setting the transparency value of the diffuse to 0 use a bitmap for the mask effect. it works.

          yea, i think the 2 sided material will make the material even better. thanks for the help
