batch render, also auto Material ID, are huge!

I would assume that if you have a dongle it will be recognized as a licensed version when you update.
-
Thanks for your reply.
You assumed correctly, I do have a dongle.
I have installed the update version in my system. But I still get limitations on my render output and the watermark.
I have switched off and on my system severally.Am sure there is something am missing.
Thanks for your help

openspaces
I'm having similar difficulty installing. I think I may have made the mistake of downloading directly from the website instead of going to my re-seller who provided the dongle.
Vray hasn't installed properly and now I have no vray at all either in SU2013 or 2014.
I'm still trying to sort it out. -
Openspace continued.
Installation problem same as above. As far as i can make out the program has installed but has not placed the vray plugin in the 2014 plugin folder, so SU cannot find it.
As this is a partially locked down pc i cannot go around and search for the relevant .rbAnybody has any clue?
EDIT
I have solution!
If you install as admin, as one does, it puts the rb files in the admin plug in but NOT in the users plug in folder, rendering the hole idea of user plugin folder pointless.Simply copy said rb files from
C:\Users[ADMIN]\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins
to
C:\Users[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2014\SketchUp\Plugins
and voilà, plugin loads. -
You ran the installer as a different user? Not sure why you would do that, but yes, that will place our plugin in the wrong user's user folder. There is no reason to run the installer as an admin afaik.
-
I think I have a different problem.
Am in the correct folder, but cant seem to pick my license.
Just renders in Demo mode.
Still need help anyone.
Thank you
-
if you downloaded the demo version, it will only be a demo. If you can't download a commercial or edu version from our site, and you have a paid license (and dongle) for 2.0, you need to contact support@chaosgroup.com to have your account permissions fixed. The demo does not convert to a commercial or edu version when a dongle is present.

Ok, Thanks. I have written to the email address.
Waiting for response.
Meanwhile back to what I had.

The download page is quite confusing and should be re-organized.
Some questions I hope someone can answer for me -
The download page only lists 32bit systems - why is that?
What is the difference between these two categories - V-Ray 2.0 Adv for SketchUp and V-Ray for SketchUp?
The first one lists builds up to Mar 4, the second one is Mar 19. Which one should I download? Thanks in advance for any clarity you can provide.
-
I have an issue: VFB Channels doesn't work. Some channels are enabled but VFB does not display at finished.
V-Ray for SketchUp Demo Limitations
- Distributed Rendering limited to 2 render nodes
- produces watermarked images
- resolution up to 600x400
- rendered results limited to 4 lights
-
did everyone find the proper download? If not, please contact support@chaosgroup.com. Don't use the demo if you paid for the product. We just need to correct your download permissions if it's not showing up for you!
-
Thank you Devin, I contacted Chaos group, and my download fixed.
Am up and running again with the update. And Batch Render is awesome, at least I can catch some sleep now, while my computer
works away.Thanks for your support.

======================
Frankly Speaking this is the worst download page setup I have seen for a professional software vendor in a long while.I went through this page and the many links leading to it trying to reach the SP1 source file but all my time wasted in vain.

Because Sketchup is only 32bit and Vray runs within Sketchup. There is a way to render using DR Spawner to use 64bit but I've never personally tried it.
