[Plugin] RichSection V0.5.8 UPDATED march 2015
-
I don´t get it to work properly on Win 10 and SU 2016 64bit pro. I get a simple section but no materials, no options dialog and if I do a second section it does it like native SU.
None of the other buttons work. It says select Rich Section first, but my section is already selected.
Some help would be appreciated.
thanks

I've tried and tried to get this to work.
I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled, and nothing works.I'm running Sketchup Pro 2014.
The toolbars shows up, and the drop-down menu shows up, but when I click on them nothing happens at all.
The log file says my license is expired.
I didn't think it needed a license.
What's up with that? -
Hello!
I am trying this plugin after I saw the amazing videos.
When I press the button to create the section, nothing happens.
Running Pro trial on Sketchup 2017 Make.
Any reasons?
Running Windows 7, Intel i7.Thanks in advance!

Run it with the Ruby Console open.
There might be incompatibilities with v2017 ?
It is two years without an update... -

It is two years without an update...IIRC this has been turned into a commercial plugin, namely SKALP, support / updates to this will then have ceased.

Just wondering if this extension is supported in sketchup 2017 or it will be supported for sketchup 2017

Unfortunately I can not load the plugin on SketchUp 2018.

It might not work in newer versions.
I'm unsure if it's still supported.
How did you download it and then install it ?
It seems to be missing an RBS file in its subfolder...
As specified in the error message.
c:/users/agnol/appdata/roaming/sketchup/sketchup 2018/sketchup/plugins/piga_richsection/richsection.rbs
If it's there it might not get read if you haven't installed v2018 properly !
To try and fix a bad installation do the following...
Close SketchUp if it's open.
Find the v2018 installer's exe file - probably in your Downloads folder ?
Select its icon > right-click > context-menu > "Run as administrator"
When prompted choose 'Repair'.
Restart SketchUp to see if that has helped... -
Hi all! I know this is a very old plugin but seems like it's the only one capable of making dashed lines projections of what is upper than the section plane
I get the same message as the last user reported, but Su is correctly installed, and the plugin too..
Can anybody give some pieces of advices to get it work or is it impossible?
Or, is there a newer plugin making the same thing (dashed projections of sections)?many many thanks in advance!

IIRC Rich Section went on to become SKALP.
