Keep background from frame buffer
-
How do i save the background image v-ray shows in the frame buffer?
-
If you render it once and set it to save a .vrimg file you can reload that image back into the frame buffer.
-
Are you asking about the actual image that appears in the background of your render?
-
If you save as a .jpg, it will save the background.

Saving as .jpg seems to do what i want, but is there a way to get that result with .png?

If you deselect the alpha channel in your "channels" options, then it should save a "flattened" image with the background. What I do if I want the png, is to save both, and I can use the jpg as the background and overlay the better resolution png over top of it.

Save it to .jpeg then go to Photoshop save it again to .png. goodluck!

The problem with the jpg saved from vray is that it is compressed and is lower quality than the png file. You will end up with a lower quality png file with your suggested method.
