Site Plans

I have spent several days creating a complicated landscape design model, with contour lines and multiple structures in the free version of Sketchup 8. I need to hand render a site plan for a project I am working on in my landscape architecture studio class, but there doesn't seem to be a way to export a 2d top-down snapshot to a pdf file. I have been searching on Google and from what I gather from the discussions, there is a "Layout" option on the pro version. Are there any comparable options on the free version (I am a broke student). I understand now that I probably could have created every elevation as components and put these on seperate layers and then cut verticle sections, or something to that effect. However, I was new to Sketchup when I started this model, and the design is now so complicated that it would probably be easier just to draw the entire thing by hand. Since that will take several hours and I have a deadline, I could really use some help. Thanks.

Just export a PNG image and work with that. You can set the size to something large--maybe 5K or 6K pixels wide and get a high res image to work on.

Thanks. I was too pressed for time to wait for the moderator to approve my post, but that's basically what I ended up doing. In the future I will not create large models without layers. But, as I mentioned, when I started this model I didn't not know that Sketchup had layers.
