you know what would be awesome?
to be able to fit a component onto a face depending on the textures orientation on that face.
i try to optimize some tree models and they have the leaf texture aplied. the leaves are a flat plane though. i would like to fit a component with more complex geometry on it that would replace the leaves with actual geometry. problem is if i use your plugin the orientation is totaly different on each plane. would it be possible to use the texture coordinates to arrange a component on it? the texture would need to be somewhat the same size.
see all the images attached. i marked where the leaf stem would need to go.
this would be so useful to me and i'm sure some other archviz guys.

I have installed the trial version of this nice plugin and i have a weird problem - i'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong or if it is a bug...?!?
I can't get it to replace all faces with instances (using "Faces to Components"), only the panels that are selected in the screenshot are the same components, all the other panels become unique components...
And it's always the same shape of panels.
Is this a bug or a feature?

So is ist not possible to get a a result with instanced components over the whole object?
Btw. how long does the trial period goes? I couldn't find any info about it.

Not possible for all object.Unless you divide faces to triangle
You need use a diferrent tool. -

The same components if face is rectangle or parallelogram.
about trapezium ,the same components if face is uniform.
about triangle ,all the same components.
Version 5.1.0 is some bug,I fixed it in curent version v5.2.1 . -

Hello, I kindly reach you to inform you about a problem when I am using S4U to Components v6.2.0.
Actually, I firstly select half of triangular for this kind of curve surface with S4U Select v2.1.1 plugin and then select the component in order to put on the surface with exact shape and direction But in some part, the component doesn't fit properly or Comes out of the surface.
Would you mind any possibility to fix this problem for the next update of S4U to Components in order to deal with this kind approach?
