Toolbar Help
-
Hey,
I have taught sketchup for five years at the middle school level and yesterday updated to version 13. Took me a few minutes to get used to some of the changes. Figured out how to install plugins and collect them in a folder to later put on the other 30 machines in my lab. When I installed the plugin toolbar editor it wouldn't run citing a javascript error. I have created dozens of tutorial videos and help pages for my students based on a menu/toolbar style. I had large tool set along the left side in a double column. When I try to put large tool set on the left in 13 it makes a single column and you can't see stuff. Even at small icon (I wouldn't use.. too small) its not all there.
End of the school year and I need help. Is there an easy way to get double column toolbar on left side of screen ?
Is there another plugin/extension that would do this ?
thanks for any help !
23 school days left !!! -
Version 2013 only supports single row/column toolbars.
So make two [or more] bars the desired length/height and simply dock them side by side.
It's not so hard to redo the code into two bars ?There is no magic solution to this - just some work.

And with only 23 days to go you are probably better off sticking with SU8 for now and upgrade for next school year.

Genie out of the bottle, can't go back to version 8 since many of my students worked on project at home in version 13.
As far as writing code I don't have the background to do that. For now I just scaled large toolset in three columns and have it floating close to the edge.
Anyone else have a problem with toolbar editor extension not working ?
