Ok, aware that i only had a 10mins quick first run last night, have to say RT does not work at all on my machine. i just get the frame buffer and nothing.

haven't reported as a bug yet since i haven't had time to look into it in depth.

perhaps someone else here has encountered the same?

Win 7 64 (i7 CPU - 8Gb Ram - Nvidia GT630 2Gb)

PS more thoughts tonight or tomorrow

I experienced that I needed to launch the DR Spawner manually.

Interesting... We should be starting the spawner as a hidden process. You won't see the window unless you manually start the spawner. You should see XMLDRSpawner in the list of processes in Task Manager when you start SketchUp with our plugin loaded. If not, please submit a bug report about this, and then try manually starting the spawner as thomthom suggests.

Edit - yes, when started manually it works.
(on first run looks great though AA needs tweaking)

Or it could be the Color Mapping that needs tweaking. v1.49.01 used Reinhard - while v1.6 uses Linear as default - which burns the colours. I set it back to Rainhard and set the Burn value to somewhere between 0.6 - 0.8.

Is your settings for clamping the colours also on?

yes, same result - i'm going to try with different subdivs cause i have a feeling it's somwething to do with the shadows. the tall cube is not touching the ground but about 2cm off the floor..
