Any more ideas?
Hi,
Verify every option under 'Only Add On' menu is unchecked and see if it works.
If not please open 'window>Ruby Console' and then try to run the plugin to check if any errors show up in Ruby Console. If you see something please let me know what it says.
Thanks

Best I could do was change agent in Safari to IE9.
Can you put it to IE 10 instead?

Hi Renderiza
Tried 'nothing selected' in Only Add On Menu - no difference still little red square
Ran Ruby Console by typing "load 'plugins/RND_Canvas.rb'"
Hit Return key and it wrote
load 'plugins/RND_Canvas.rb" underneath on line 2
Nothing else happened.
PS never opened Ruby Console before so am a total newbie

Hi Renderiza
Me again
Just noticed your comment on switching to IE 10
The latest version of Safari doesn't go higher than IE9 I'm afraid

Uploaded a modified Canvas plugin to PluginStore, please re-download it again to see if it solved the problem.
What I changed was a line in html document...
From
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=10">
To
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=9">
Hope this solves it.
Also what version of SketchUp are you using?
Thanks
-
Hi Renderiza
I'm afraid that didn't work. Still the little red square and no duplication.
I did uninstall the old version before downloading the new one.
Tech info
MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Mac OS 10.8.5
SketchUp Pro 2013 V 13.0.4811
Hope this helps
Thanks

Hi,
Can you right click on SketchUp 2013 icon and click 'Run as administrator' to see if that solves it.
If not here is an attachment with older version of Canvas (1.1.0) which doesn't need IE9 for HTML5 & jQuery compatibility.
Older version of Canvas that doesn't need IE9 or higher.
Thanks

Hi Renderiza
Sorry it's taken time to get back to you
Eventually loaded 1.1.0 (neat interface BTW
Unfortunately still doesn't run on Mac just the empty red square attached to the arrow cursor.
Have any other Mac Users encountered problems that you know of?
I'd love to make it work
There''s nothing else like it
Here's hoping
Cheers

We need another Mac user for testing if this plugin works or not. Wish I had one myself to test my plugins before releasing them.
Can you verify if your folder permission are set to full?
Also can you try Thomthom: VirtualStore Check v1.1.0 to check if there's files in the Plugins folder that's ended up in Window's VirtualStore.
-
Hi Renderiza
I can't believe I'm the only Mac User of your plugin!
There must be more out there. I think the concept is fantastic. I just wish I knew what the problem is.
There is of course no Windows Virtual Store on Mac and I have full permission on all files, folders and applications
Here's hoping we find an answer
Cheers

Do you have the same issue on all of my plugins? Maybe we can learn something if you test them as well.

I am a mac user who is also having problems with canvas, it just does not work for me. I tried with groups and components. I am only able to select the options on the input box after hitting the space key but that does have any consequence: I just cannot place a single instance of the selected group/component.
mac os 10.8.5 and sketchup 13.0.4811.

HI
I am on a Mac, and Canvas is not working for me at all.. neither the 1.1.3 nor the v.1.1.0 which you uploaded on this forum. Neither in sketchup 2013 nor sketchup 8 ... a great shame!
any help appreciated
thanks -
Is there any news or updates on getting this to work on mac. Is it just the issue with canvas not running on mac, cause canvas is supported by chrome and safari. Isnt it cause the header of the html page states content"IE=10", i did try to set this to chrome=1 but didnt help
edit
i just noticed that version 1.1 does give me some feedback in the ruby console`onLButtonDown' /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 8/SketchUp/Plugins/RND_Canvas/RND_Canvas_loader.rb;390 Error; #<NoMethodError; undefined method `material' for nil;NilClass> /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 8/SketchUp/Plugins/RND_Canvas/RND_Canvas_loader.rb;390;in `onLButtonDown' /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 8/SketchUp/Plugins/RND_Canvas/RND_Canvas_loader.rb;390 Error; #<NoMethodError; undefined method `material' for nil;NilClass> /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 8/SketchUp/Plugins/RND_Canvas/RND_Canvas_loader.rb;390;in `onLButtonDown' /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 8/SketchUp/Plugins/RND_Canvas/RND_Canvas_loader.rb;390

Is it just the issue with canvas not running on mac,...
the plugin dosen't use the <canvas> tag and the html works fine in safari, the problem lays elsewhere...
look in the ruby for PC only calls...

[attachment=0:4x9rpslo]<!-- ia0 -->CanvasOK.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:4x9rpslo]That must be it, I do not have IE at all, totally removed the rubbish from all my machines.

A lot of dialogues (geo location, extension warehouse, ...?) rely on the IE, you should install it even if you don't use it for browsing.

I installed the demon, all works now, feel dirty however
