LumenRT 4

To be honest, I have always been interest in LumenRT since the beginning because I am a novice Vue user. Unfortunately, I was never impressed enough to spend the $400 on it and now its $1000 which makes that a much harder pill to swallow.

I totally understand your point, I have the same issue with Lumion, I love the software and have used it quite a lot for small animations, unfortunately the quality is not on the level I can charge the amounts that animations go for at market value so they come in at around a high quality single image render which makes it very hard to justify or even earn enough to purchase the updates which is on average $1000 per upgrade every year.
LumenRT now looks like another tool, a collaboration tool, I cannot say how or if I will be able to use it for a commissioned project as I have never had a call for such a collaboration yet. I will need to play with it and see all the possibilities it has to offer I guess. I did notice there is a new video which combines Vue with LumenRT, this is just brilliant from what I saw and this I can use for my landscape design clients, however this then adds another layer of costs as now one needs Vue too and I am still on version 9 as I could not afford to keep up with the annual upgrades so I'm assuming this feature will be unavailable to me with my current version (unconfirmed as I do not have LumenRT to try).
Then there is hardware, both apps need a good GPU so yet another layer of costs to consider annually, as a freelance artist I sometimes feel squeezed out by the costs of staying current and up to date.

GPU
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450
1023MB GDDR5Solo has it right on.
LumenRT is overpriced and compounds the issue requiring system upgrades to work properly.
IMO if ones system can run Sketchup then it should be able run LunenRT.
Great video promo for exteriors but less impressive for the short interior clips.
Thank you for getting back.
(No fast save set and still crashes.)No sale here I am afraid.

dtrNo problem!
So, where does it crash? Inside of SketchUp, or is it inside of the LumenRT real-time playback? Your video board should work just fine.
Thanks for getting back.

Nicholas
Inside SketchupTech support done.
cheers

dtrarch, can you provide the scene? We haven't found any scenes that crash SketchUp once the Fast export option is disabled.
Thanks! -
Dear Nicolas
Provide me with a working and free copy of the program and I will be pleased to provide what feedback you may request that is project permitted.

Nicholas,
I have two questions that I couldn't find definite answers to on the Eon site. 1) Is it possible to install on desktop AND laptop with one license ? 2) Without purchasing Publisher, what output do you get from Lumenrt ? ThanksMike

I have been looking for the same answers, especially how do I export an animation if I do not have publisher, I am currently using only studio version and want to test animation export.

You don't need the Publisher to export stills or animations. If you right/long click on the Play movie icon, this brings up the export movie icon. It's also on the Timeline bar.

Thanks.
Is there a quick start guide?

Pretty impressive so far, I decided to try break this first and complain afterwards, so I loaded a super heavy scene that buckles Sketchup I then added a lot of LRT vegetation, birds and people, hit export to LRT and it worked and fast too, this model breaks everything, in fact Vray cannot render the scene it's so big, Thea4SU struggles and Vue lags, LRT no problem smooth as silk, things have certainly improved from version one till now.

Click to see video, animation by using SU scenes and not animation creator within LumenRT, great frigging quality, considering this is draft, also I never touched a single material, straight photo textures, somehow LumenRT figured out what the water image was and I do not know how but it's great.
