Array / Multiple Copy Not Working
-
Hi everyone.
I have a very annoying problem with SU and the worst is that I seem to be the only one in the world with it:It turns out that the SU stock command for multiple array copies (Ctrl+Move then x+ numb of copies) seems to have got screwed up after I installed some other plugin -which I don't recall now, but uninstalled then, without any results- and I've been miserable since then
For example, If I try to make an array (linear or radial) of anything, lets say a component or group...a simple box, instead of getting the desired result, what I get is a single copy of the object, exploded and set to some wrong random distance. Happens every time and It's so annoying... and actually slows down my modelling workflow and productivity.
I know that a very obvious answer would be "reinstall" but perhaps somedy could come up with any other solution....PLEASE HEEEELP
Thanks.

maybe you have your explode keystroke set to 'X' ? (or something)..
anyway.. try entering 12x instead of x12 (the amount first followed by x instead of the way you described your method
[for instance.. my x-ray keystroke is X.. if i try entering x10 as an array amount, my view switches to xray mode and a single copy moves 10 units..

- works also.
If it's not shortcuts interfering, it could be some plugin...

It does indeed sound like X has been set as a keyboard shortcut for Explode.

yeah.. and that exact example (having X for explode) can cause increased confusion because..
if you try to move non-grouped geometry then x10 will work as an array.. but if it's grouped, x10 will explode it instead..

i have the same problem, except that my move copy works just fine .( single copy, multiple copies x and divide ) however my radial copy does not work ..

So when you hit Ctrl after getting the Rotate tool, do you get a little + next to the cursor?
