Random Shapes/Form
-
Hello,
I would like to make this fence. Is there any way to generate some randomly formed Objects, which can be put together? -
I don't know of a way to randomly generate the pales for that fence. Do you have to have a 3D model of the fence? Otherwise you could use a PNG with a transparent background as a material applied to a surface.

If you has a set of pales [say 10?] that were 2d 'faces [I see no benefit in making these 3d...] then it'd be relatively straightforward to randomize their pattern - either in a DC or in some simple ruby code...

I need 3d models of the pales. I'll try to find a plugin for making trees, which might help me. I'll make a small number(8-10) of different pales and repeat them randomly in a row.

Can you upload your SKP-file, if you dont mind.
I dont need so many models of this kind right now, because this is the only model containing such irreqular forms. I think it wont pay off yet. But if we get more models like this in the future, I'll tell my boss to buy the plugin. -
I just saw the skp-file. Thank you.

Here is an example using Vertex Tools. Takes a few minutes. You probably already have something, but I think this would be faster than a tree plugin. I didn't texture it properly but you can have these if interested. I made cylinders with multiple mid circles. Lined them up and used VT gizmo (gently) all at once on multiple soft selections.
VT cost but you won't regret it, and you also have a chance to support ruby development.
