      Depending how are your segments of spiral
      if then don't touch any other a simple double click is sufficient πŸ˜‰

      Else look at Selection Toys by Thomthom

      if each segment of the spiral is similar take look at
      select line by length by Chris Fullmer

          thank you, i will check this. for my job the plugin must be a sort of intelligent to be able to decide, which direction the string goes, it's rather tricky. because of the geometry of a spiral a simple selection by rectangle or anything else does not work.

            Thomthom's "QuadFaceTools" [see the Plugins Index...] lets you pick connected 'loops' like your spiraling paths.
            I just tested it on your faced version [it needs the faces!] and I selected the spiraling edges quite easily...

              If you own the plugin SketchUV (Whaat), you can doubleclick on one line with the path select tool:

                        hi, yes , the thomthom - tool in quadfacetool does exactly , what i needen now.

                        the next search is an intelligent "follow-path" tool, i will start another topic for that
