Hi, i have a problem with my project. See the project is about an urban regeneration, so the model in sketchup is a about 3 km model of a part of our city, the file is about 78 MB, so is huuuge. and when i try to make a render in vray it doesn't start. I have tried to purge it, i restart several times, i scale the model 1:1000 hoping it would weight less but it doesn`t, it remains with the same 78 MB, i have also tried in differents computers with higher memory but its the same problem, what can you recommend me to do. thanks

the size of sketcup file itself is not relevant.
first thing to do: open your task manager and observe how much memory it is consuming while "vray is courrently processing your scene please wait"..
always remember sketchup is 32 bit, so you can also run it on a pc with tons of ram, but it doesn't give any benfit at all.
also scaling the model will not reduce the polycount. so it is completely useless. try to layer it properly instead..

Does it say VRay Processing on the lower left of the SU Window? You might have to wait. Parsing on a large file could take a while. If VRay processing starts and then disappears, then you might have a texture issue. Are you textures high resolution?
