I am receiving error messages upon boot up of SU 8 and don't know how to correct the problems. Plug in loader_rb gets "undefined method 'effective_load' for nil: NilClass A group of Fredo tools get the error "undefined method 'register_plug for FredoTools:Module

A point in the right direction appreciated.

I would delete the offending plugins and then re-download them.

If you post the full error-message them someone might be able to help you !
Please help us to help you.
A point in the right direction would be appreciated...

I suspect you have not installed the tool correctly.
[You haven't even managed to explain which tool it is exactly!]
Please reread the tool's download instructions AND also download and install any 'helpers' that are specified [typically a 'Lib' folder and associated .rb loader file] - into the Plugins folder.
If you have 'mis-installed' files they they must be removed from the Plugins folder before reinstalling and then restarting.
Once all are properly installed restart Sketchup to auto-load the files, then activate any extensions and toolbars etc...

If you still have problems reassess what you should have done, and what you have done; if you are still stuck then ask again...
