Spent the last few days beta testing Vertex Tools v1.1 using this as an example.

Here's a screen at high speed of the modeling...

Here's the final result in raw SU output (sorry for the shitty wire but I exported at 9999px and the downsize wrecked them...)

Here's a quick turntable of the SU model...

How did you create and apply the texture?

I unwrapped the head in Blender and baked an AO map. I used this AO map in PhotoShop to overlay color then textures with various blending modes.

I tried screen grabbing it but my dual core couldn't take the pressure πŸ˜’

Just some eyes remain. Then print it πŸ˜„

                  Really great work!

How long did the modelling take?

                    Thanks David πŸ‘

I'd say about 3hrs but the texturing was about 4 as I kept tweaking and tweaking.

I honestly expected the modelling to have taken longer. Even using something like Sculptris I'd probably spend the same sort of time in order to achieve the same results.

I actually screen grabbed and narrated 90% of the modeling. I've uploaded to YouTube but it's unlisted but if you want a peek let me know. I do alot of rambling in there πŸ˜’

I've been watching the first 1.5 hours of the work - while working on fixing the bugs Rich reported to be. Really nice to see how he work and at the same time get to hear his thoughts.

I've previously watched through come long modelling videos for Max, it was nice to see one for SketchUp.

What type of material are you using?
I'm thinking that for skin type you'd want a SSS type..?

Just Diffuse with spec and norm. Staying away from SSS for now.

Is there anything you can't do?
Beautiful work. Sorta looks like all of my ex-wives rolled into one.
Could you let me know how to find it on You Tube? I have a tool that let's me speed up or slow down the videos there, and I'd like to slow it down in places to better see your process.
                                      Again, really nice work.
