Reflection map placement

Hello Folks
I have spent quite a bit of time, watching tutorials, searching forums, reading manual trying to work out were to place my reflection map.
From what i can work out so far.- In material list i create new reflection layer
- Click into BRDFReflection reflection m
- In the texture editor drop down list choose TexFresnel
- Then click into TexFresnel Parallel m
- In the texture editor drop down list choose TexBitmap
6.In BitmapBuffer file browse to my reflective .png
Could someone please confirm if this is the correct place for placing the reflection map?
The reflection map is for the floor.
The render comes out to this

Apologies in advance if this reads a load of confused rubbish.

i think that putting it into the perpendicular slot is a better solution.
