Hi Fredo, and others here. I used to be able to use true paint on most pseudo quads i create. all of the sudden today i am getting stomped by a simple little curb i created. It just won't true paint! Any help is appreciated. File is attached below.

Delete the caps at each end. Should work then

Brilliant! Thank you Rich. And now for the "why". Why is that a behavior of the tool?
-
It would need to be unwrapped properly. It's a closed volume so ThruPaint seems to have a cow man!

Ok, having an interesting problem with Thrupaint. Is there somewhere I can get a copy of 1.2a? It worked.
Since I updated to the new version as part of the whole Fredo Tools package, the menu palette refuses to show anything beyond this:
I have not yet found the problem with this and would love to just revert to 1.2a, but I no longer have the installer. Any help would be welcome.
Thanks,

Cathryn,
Could you open the Ruby console when you open ThruPaint.
It also looks like you have an old version of LibFredo6.

...And here's the Error code from the console. Sorry for not including that yesterday Fredo. I'm still getting over the flu, and just didn't think of it.

EDIT: Oh, and I just updated LibFredo to 7.4. Yesterday, even. I figured It might help.

Then there is something wrong in the installation of LibFredo6 7.4.
Can you check the folder Fredo6_!LibFredo6, and see if you have only rbe and rbs files, and there is no .rb files left from previous versions.
Possibly, do a clean up and reinstall LibFredo6

Hmmm. I'll check that and see if that's the issue.
Edit: Yeah, that was the problem. Thanks very much, Fredo. Sorry for not thinking of this solution myself
As always, your entire suite of plugins are the backbone of what we all do with SketchUp. Thanks once again, for the plugins and the assistance.
May the Source be with you,

For info, what was the problem?

The problem was having 77 .rb files from the old libraries. I had for some reason never considered that they might remain in there, not being auto-magically overwritten and eventually cause a problem. I think it may have resulted from Windows offering to merge folders, and me not paying attention to what I was clicking on.
So, upon finding that yes, there were a bunch of .rb files in there, I sorted by file type, selected all .rb and cut; pasting into a storage folder elsewhere, just in case doing so screwed something up.Seems to have solved the problem, nothing screwed up and ThruPaint works right again, showing the full palette.

A silly question I'm sure the answer is here someplace but I'll ask anyway.
How do I stop Thru paint from opening every time I use SU material editor?
I have tried disabling it in extension manager but that does not stop it from still being enabled.
-
There's a setting in the ThruPaint parameters that toggles it on/off. By default it's off so at some point you turned it on.

I unchecked that option but still pops up when I use SU material editor
edit F9 worked. Doh!

Is that on or off?

A question. Would someone look at these settings and tell me why I can't seem to rotate or otherwise scale this texture? When I rotate or scale the texture with the gizmo nothing happens.
