Circular construction lines

can someone tell me how to (or if it is possible at all) achieve a circular construction line (the same as one gets with the offset tool)?

construction lines are only available as straight lines and half-lines. How did you get a construction line with the offset tool? Do you have a screenshot? -

I used the term offset to indicate the effect I would like to achieve.......thanks for the heads-up. I guess you could use the offset for a reference line and then delete it...

The tools on surface plugin can draw lines or construction lines and draws on curved surfaces. You might try that (I have not).
