<![CDATA[Circular construction lines]]>can someone tell me how to (or if it is possible at all) achieve a circular construction line (the same as one gets with the offset tool)?

You might try that (I have not).

I guess you could use the offset for a reference line and then delete it...

construction lines are only available as straight lines and half-lines. How did you get a construction line with the offset tool? Do you have a screenshot?
