Hi guys! I have a concern regarding black spots during render then the whole picture will turn black and Sketchup crashes. what seems to be the problem? whenever I import 3d cars and some plants, the render always turn out to be like this. And it's really frustrating. I wanted to complete the scene, but because I experience this kind of problem. I always end up rendering the structure alone and it's not presentation friendly. I don't know if the problem is on the imported objects or what. I don't know how others do it. Please help me on this guys so that I can share your solutions to others who are experiencing the same problem. Thank you in advance for the help guys! πŸ˜„

It'd help if we knew what you're using to render. Screenshot too if possible?

It seems like as if it did not finish rendering. You still have not revealed what rendering software it is. It will be hard to guess from those dozens of apps.

Oh sorry sir.. its Vray for Sketchup. the reason why it didn't finished because that is the problem.. black spots suddenly appeared and ruined the render.. it's almost done then those black buckets appeared.. it's really frustrating.. I think it's not a Memory issue because I'm using a 16gb RAM and an i7 Processor..

Well, I am moving the topic to the V-ray subforum then (I myself do not use V-ray). Just a note: since V-ray for SU works under SU, which is a 32 bit application, even with large address aware settings it can only access 4 Gb of ram.

I cannot really see any black spots though. Could you mark them on the render?

Those black spots didn't appear because I stopped the render. They appeared during the render process. thank you sir!

Okay, in my first post I meant that those areas are the ones that look like as if the render did not go complete.

If not, I have no idea as I do not use V-ray.

                        Hello,

first, make sure you use the latest version of VRayForSU (1.49.01).
Second, maybe your file is to heavy.
Third, when you import objects, all materials must be checked in VRayForSU. Maybe some are not well setted and crash the render.

Hi Sir Chon! I'm using the latest VrayForSU version. my file is only 40 MB. I've rendered an 80MB file but I haven't encountered this kind of problem. Regarding the materials.. how can I check if the materials are ok or is the model ok. thank you!
