Thanks for that Jeff - works for me in IE and Safari mobile, so I don't know what went wrong.

@hieru: Thanks. That's a nice version. First time I have seen a bassist with a glove on his fretting hand. Must have a muting effect.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

Or his fingers are cut to ribbons. It's a wicked little bassline though - no wonder he looks so smug.

I wonder if Victor Wooten, or Billy Sheehan have ever done that. Look them up if you have time.

I've heard Wooten before and his sound is amazing - sort of a Bobby McFerrin of bass playing.

Doing a quick search is seems that most people who use gloves do so because they have problems with sweaty fingers messing up the strings or fretboard, but apparently there are tonal benefits as well.

                  Digging the white space.

weird.. hieru's clip shows up on my phone but not on the computers (white space for me too)

here it is with a slightly different embed approach

[EDIT] removed the video as Tig edited hieru's post ….no need for a double up 😉

Etienne Mbappe wears gloves on both hands.. i think it's sweat related? (not sure though) [EDIT]--oh wait, just saw this page of posts and hieru is saying the same thing.. adds some validity to my comment 😆

                      No sweat.

If you post John your cred is solid.

Thanks, Jeff. That was a nice clip, too.
