100 sum of diffuse, transp and reflection?

In Su podium there’s a thumb rule. That the sum percentage of diffuse, reflection and transparence of a material should not exceed 100. In vray, is there any such thumb rule? I”m new to vray and often get unexpected results because i don’t know of any such 100% balance thing. My vray version is 1.49.01

In V-Ray you do not have to do this. It takes care of it for you.

Hmm.. i haven’t seen values auto adjusting themselves as they do in podium when the sliders slide automatically. do the layers auto adjust too?

The values are normalized internally. It's something you don't need to worry about.
