Right-click menus gray out
-
Has this happened to anyone else? On certain models I am working on, I will sometimes lose choices on my right-click optons. I am not talking about specialized Plug-in selections, but the basic native SU choices ,such as flip along, reverse vases, etc. I have to restart the app to get them to re-activate? Again, this only happens on certain models, (not grotequely poly-heavy--or organic stuff, just basic modeling)
Any thoughts?
Thx. I.A

Reverse Vases? Haven't that option....
Have you tried removing all plugins and slowly adding them back via the half and half method?
I know TIG advises that there are rogue scripts out there that cause this greying/graying.

You don't? Why Not! it's really useful if you want all your flower arrangements mirrored.
Have you tried removing all plugins and slowly adding them back via the half and half method?Yeah. .. I thought of that too. . .darn it. . .I only have 1357 plugins.

Darn those Rogues. . .to Heck!

If you read the links it's not so much 'rogue scripts'... but more like 'too many scripts'... there is a limit to the number of commands SUp can stand in its context-menus etc...
Manage your Plugins so you only have those loading you need most of the time, you can always load one when it's needed...
To disable a script try renamingxxxx.rb
asxxxx.rb!
so it doesn't auto-load BUT typingload 'xxxx.rb!'
in the Ruby Console will load it later on IF you need it, just for that session...

Ouch. I never use the Ruby Console. I guess I oughta learn.
(Is it time for true confessions?) because I don't use outliner that much either.

I've seen such a thing. We found this reversed vase 6 years ago in a Roman sarcophagus for instance.
Here is the full dude - now without the vase already -
Obviously this is the result of too many plugins. .. they'll get you everytime.

Okay, so the problem is the number of plugins.
What happens, inside SU, when there are too many plugins, that causes the loss of functions?
I certainly don't need to know the technical answer to that, but the Google software engineers should know. And if they do, is there some insurmountable reason why they can't fix it?
