      Hello!

I have a problem, which is really annoying me, tried to find on internet, in this site also, tried a lot of different options, but unlucky. I hope, somebody will help me.
So the problem is, you can see on my attachment, that in render are a lot of circles looking like smokes, just looks dirty. I found only, what I have to change GI pre-set to medium, but I'm using sketchup 8 pro v-ray 1.4 for it, and there is now field to change it. Those circles usually appear on white walls, or ceilings, but in this example those are on furniture.
      Thanks for any help!

        two things you can do:

        • under your irradiance map settings, change your Hsph. Subdivisions to something line 150
        • increase your overall lighting level, add some rectangular lights off camera if possible. There's not enough lighting in those areas.

            150? 😲

That's way too high. Try 50 instead.

There is no such version of V-Ray for SketchUp. Do you refer to the V-Ray core version (the one that the render window gives you?) Or did you shorten the version number of 1.48.xx or 1.49.xx ? Can you post exactly the full version number? (It is important as there are some very important fixes inbetween the versions.)

60 is default. I typically go to 90 or more to get a smoother image. It doesn't add a whole lot of time for me, but definitely helps with the splotchiness.

That's odd. I hardly ever go over 60. In some cases I'll go up to 80, but that only rarely happens.

My V-ray is 1.48.96, windows. Default number is 50, and I made 150, now renders looks great, but takes more time.. πŸ˜„

Update to the latest, 1.49.01 - there's all kinds of bugs in the older versions.
