      Hi all

I set a camera position in the viewport with the camerapositioning tool.
I walk and look around until I have found the right angle for my view.

What I need to know now is where my camera is positioned.
I would like turn into orthogonal top view to see where my camera is positioned.

I need this information (also the highth and the focal length) because I wanna tell my fotografer where he has to stand to shot the background image for my architecture-visualisation.

Is there a tool that makes cameras visible ?

      Kind regards
      Alain

        Hi Alain,

First of all, add a scene where your camera position is (you can always go back there). You can set as many camera positions this way as you want.
Then with this plugin, you can ad a group of lines that connect your cameras.

Obviously your cameras will be at the endpoints of these lines. You can get the co-ordinates of these lines easily with the Text tool (enter the group and add a text to the endpoints - by default, it will tell the co-ordinates).

As for the FOV: if you select the Zoom tool (default shortcut: Z) and press the Shift key, at the bottom right, in your measurement toolbar you can read the FOV.

Edit: if you have SU 8 Pro, you can use the so called "Advanced Camera Tools", too.

        Gai...

Doesn't give position but allows subtle movements

            Thank you guys.
"Cpoint at Camera Eye" is what I'm looking for.

            Kind regards
