Can't right click to group any longer
-
Hi All, this is not a big deal, but lately I can't seem to right click and get "make group" any longer, It's grey'd out. anyone might know as to why?
-
It's a well known limitation - currently you can only have a certain number of 'commands' loading into Sketchup at one time - when you exceed that then earlier ones are disabled...
So you probably have too many scripts loading... See here http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=252413#p252413
Also search for 'gray command' or 'gray context',
Disabling some never/rarely used scripts will probably alleviate the problem... -
Thanks TIG

You can split plugins to different sketchups by runing more than one.

SketchUp Stability
by arthur87 on Sun Apr 17, 2011 2:27 pmIs version 8 the most stable version SketchUp. And why do the makers of sketchup haven't been still able to the toolbar crash problem. they just added the restore toolbars option, the toolbar position still goes haywire many times.
When useing large skp file layout of objects this will make more since to you. Yes?
They all using the same resource. When all get max out we then use the view 7 just to look at a file.
Sketchup cant be format 24/7 to do everything, so smaller task dose help Stability
Think of it as a production flow to a end game.

I do create large SKP files and would find it extremely annoying to have to switch from one SketchUp installation to another. Eliminating unused plugins prevents the grayed out menu items and allows one to do all their work in a single SketchUp install. If your method works for you, that's great. I'll stick with the normal, single installation.
I don't have any problems with stability of tool bars or SketchUp in general.

I did't either until, some of the bigger and best plugin came out.
Some of the best utility plugin are not being used why? I find It hard to pick and choose. Would we choose to unload large set of plugin with the most bells and whistles of resource like (Fredo6) I like all of his work.
What about next days downloads, and the must have plugin that we stick in our efferent program areas.
I think the work it take to troubleshoot the grey out or bug splat, maybe allot more.
Now the add work Process I have do is this.
select group - cut - touch/open a sketchup - paste in place -
