Steampunk arcade machine

I originally started this for the modeling challenge, it was a PacMan version but pulled it out as I really wanted to complete it and to get the level of completion I wanted would mean 3 hours of work. It just looked too bare and incomplete to me.
So I completed it in my spare time, changed it to Donky Kong, or it's first steampunk'd version 'Indignant Primate'.
Modeled with SU and rendered with Thea.

I love it!
Even know the game shown!

That is great Pete but I wish you had kept it in for the modeling challenge.
This rendering and modeling concept is top notch. A+ with extra credit my friend.
My only crit on this would be the vents. They look like modern A/C registers. -

One of the rules of the competition is no renderings till after the voting closes.
It may not be the same model but it's close enough don't you think?
I know, hence I have removed my entry.

Ignore me, didn't realise you had taken it out. Sorry.
Looks great.

A lot of profanity passed these lips.
Any chance you want to share the brass/copper/bronze settings if possible?

Rich, I'm creating a metal pack for registered Thea users, it will all be included, however if you need something sooner then PM me and I'll send it over.

Looks good, as always. Show-off.

Love it!
The round screen is perfect! -
I love it, Solo! (although I'd have to agree about the vent)

I'll wait for the goodies. But the offer is much appreciated. I want those setting for the Bugatti model.

Retro futurism!

Instead of feeding it quarters you have to shovel in some coal to keep the boiler running.
Very nice.

An amazing amount of detail in the modeling. Coincidence, I happen to be rendering a desk lamp in the steampunk style.
-
This might be the coolest thing I've ever seen! Kuddos!!!
-
Wow awesome!
You know the german edition of WIRED magazine just launched and I swear the cover was done in sketchup and guess what it was? An arcade machine! I am pretty sure its SU but anyway both still cool! I must ask in the office next week and find out where it came from.
I love how your models are so simple and the renders so intense! No wonder I have such a hard time trying to render my models

As a side note to the rest of the forum - only Liam is licensed to call Solo's models "simple".
